When I was in Washington visiting family and friends, I had the chance to witness something awesome.
Paul and Amy are my good friends and Amy is on a local roller derby team. They invited me to one of their weekly practices and I shot this video as they ran scrimmages.
As I watched them practice, I came to realize that Fullerton badly needs a roller derby team. I'm not sure how to get one started but I'd like to offer the following name for consideration:
G.L.O.F (Gorgeous Ladies Of Fullerton).

Danny Vasquez is a wonderful songwriter and a great friend of mine. He performs under the moniker Black Lung Serenade and is one of the first artists on Nü Americas records.
Originally from Southern California, he now makes his home in Iowa. I interviewed him for a segment on Rehearsal Studio. We discussed his move cross country, his family and his outlook on his music.

This episode of Make Something Real is focussed on The Hibbleton gallery located in downtown fullerton, next door to the Rialto Cafe.
Launching last month, this co-op gallery is serious about showcasing the little known but amazing artists in Orange County and beyond.
The Hibbleton is made up of 6 different people and I interviewed most of them yesterday when I stopped by. I shot this video as we discussed the gallery and their new show that opens on Saturday, June 28th (tomorrow) at 8pm.

Last weekend the annual Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival took place in Fullerton. Held every year at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center, this event brings out people who spend a ton of time and money on customized and/or classic cars.
This two shin-dig was family friendly and also featured Boy Scout pine car races, food, beer and ice cream. There was also a ton of car related art.

Without question Mike and Pam Atta have the coolest stores in Fullerton. Both Out of Vogue and the Otto shop are amazing, interesting and very unique.
Mike was so kind to allow me to film in both stores today and ask him a few questions about his places. If you have never been to Out Of Vogue or Otto Shop you must go immediately.

Patrick Riley is a Fullerton staple and a great guy to know. I always enjoy our conversations and consider him a close friend.

Beatnic is a hip clothing boutique two doors down from the Plush Cafe and Lounge in Fullerton. Popular with high school and college students, Beatnic prides itself in being on the forefront of trends and community.
I shot this video yesterday, interviewing Gabriel Green. Besides working there, he is a local artists who promotes a monthly event at Plush called "The Hump".

Last weekend was the 10th annual Railroad Days. It was wonderful to see the Fullerton community come out to celebrate.
There were so many great model trains, real trains, train art, everything train. I hung out there most of Sunday with my family. Here is a video I shot.

Although 118 Degrees is not "technically" in Fullerton, eating at this restaurant is a must. Located at The Camp in Costa Mesa, Jenny Ross open the doors about a year ago.
Her restaurant offers raw, slow cooked, organic vegan food that is amazing, delicious and potentially life changing.
